Have you experienced a traumatic event?

Have you tried talk therapy but are looking for another form of treatment?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy is a research based treatment for anxiety, depression, panic disorders, PTSD and those who have experienced trauma. EMDR is different than traditional talk therapy because the focus is on changing the emotions, thoughts and behaviors that accompanied the trauma, rather than talking about the event. The goal is to help the brain to resolve the effects of the trauma. It is often a short term therapy. To learn more about EMDR,  check out the EMDR International Association at www.emdria.org.
