Tracy Funke has a special interest in helping students manage anxiety, stress and trauma. Her goal is to help her clients find their stride through connection, skill building and humor. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (the recognition of thoughts/feelings and behaviors), art therapy, trauma informed therapies, and mindfulness to assist clients in reaching body/mind health. Tracy specializes in providing individual therapy to healthcare providers, LGBTQ individuals, and college-age and young adult populations.
Tracy is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and is dedicated to helping clients find peace and a sense of meaning during life’s challenges. Tracy provides a supportive, person centered approach, recognizing each client’s strengths and unique abilities, and how they may use them to evoke change and growth.
Tracy has extensive experience in using creative therapies and believes that creativity, in any form, is healing and transformative for all ages. Her special areas of interest include coping skills and anxiety management, identity exploration, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, and student concerns. She addresses areas including esteem, healthy communication, relationships, gender and sexuality and she provides assessments for gender affirming surgery.
She also has education and experience in musical theater and has a unique understanding of the challenges involved in pursuing the performing arts as a career, as well as the needs of students of the performing arts.
