Stephanie Joanis

Stephanie Joanis provides therapeutic services to children age 4+, adolescents, and their families. She has experience supporting clients with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, ADHD, trauma, and school-related transitions. With over 20 years of experience working with children and families across diverse roles and settings, she brings a strong foundation in child and family development.

Stephanie is especially drawn to play therapy as a developmentally appropriate approach that helps children express and process emotions. She is committed to fostering a therapeutic environment that is safe, client-centered, culturally responsive, and identity-affirming. Stephanie aims to empower individuals and families to navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and strengthen connection by identifying strengths and working toward meaningful, sustainable change. She strives to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

Her approach is collaborative and individualized. She integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), along with a person-centered approach, to support each client’s unique goals
